Linda Gridley, founder and president of the Gridley Company, is a true pioneer in the male-dominated building and remodeling industry. Most women owners or managers in the remodeling industry today are working in a family-run business. For a woman to actually found a remodeling company, as Linda did some 30 years ago, is unique. Then again, Linda is a very unique woman. Linda’s vision and leadership have shaped the company into a thriving remodeling firm focused on our clients’ needs, desires and dreams. She nurtures her staff to reach their full potential and to be fully committed to providing the Gridley Company’s clients with superior remodeling projects and an outstanding experience. Linda’s management skills extend beyond the Gridley Company. In 1992, she was recognized for her professional leadership with Remodeling magazine’s Big50 Award and the Gridley Company’s induction into the Big50 Hall of Fame, one of the remodeling industry’s most prestigious honors. Linda is also a founder and past chapter president of her region’s National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), a leading trade association that promotes professionalism and adherence to the highest ethics within the industry. Over the years, Linda has also run NARI training courses for other remodelers, and she was the first woman in the San Jose/Santa Cruz area to earn the NARI title of Certified Remodeler. Blessed with seemingly limitless energy, Linda is a people person, she loves helping homeowners improve their lives by improving their homes. She strives consistently for growth and knowledge that will make the Gridley Company an example for other remodeling businesses to emulate, particularly in the realm of environmental accountability. |
